Eddie Veder, of Pearl Jam fame, recorded a cover of Peterson’s “Hard Sun” for the critically acclaimed 2007 movie “Into the Wild”. The suit alleges that Vedder changed some of the lyrics in the song “…eroding the integrity of the composition”. The suit also claims that Universal had licensed the song without his prior knowledge or permission.
