“Thor” casting news

Anthony Hopkins has joined the cast of “Thor” as Odin, a role that was rumoured to be going to Robert DeNiro just a couple of weeks ago. He joins Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, and Colm Feore as confirmed cast members whilst Jude Law’s status remains unknown. Laura Dern has joined the cast of “Little Fockers” as the Focker kids’ headmistress according to The Hollywood Reporter. She joins Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Robert DeNiro, Blythe Danner, Owen Wilson, Robert Redford, Barbra Streisand and Jessica Alba in the movie about the Fockers’ children. Directed by Paul Weitz, “Little Fockers” is due out in cinemas July 2010. Judging by opinion in our own forum, people are not exactly what you would call excited…

Jude Law and Robert DeNiro are rumoured to have joined the cast of Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming Marvel superhero movie; ‘Thor’. Speculation is that DeNiro might be up for the role of Thor’s daddy, Odin. Involvement by Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, and Colm Feore has previously been confirmed.
