EA to launch interactive books for the DS

Electronic Arts have announced that they will be bringing an interactive book service for kids to Nintendo’s DS in conjunction with publishers Penguin and Egmont Books. They will be released under a range called “Flips” with each cartridge containing six to eight books. They will retail for £24.99 in the UK with the first phase expected to be released in time for Christmas.

Matt Fraction writing “Iron Man 2″ video game

Matt Fraction, the Eisner Award winning comic writer, has been hired by Sega to write the script for upcoming multi-format video game “Iron Man 2″. The new game will be loosely based on the movie but will feature it’s own original story. The game is due out for DS, Wii, 360, PS3 and PC in June 2010.

“Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing” character news

Due for release on February 24th 2010 for the DS, PS3, 360, Wii and PC there isn’t much we could say to get people excited over what appears to be your standard family racing game but here it is… You’ll be able to play as Ryo Hazuki from the “Shenmue” games. Here’s a couple of screenshots:

Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery dated for DS

The date has finally been set for the release of Assassin’s Creed 2 on the Nintendo DS and unsurprisingly, it will street on the same date as was previously announced for the PS3 and 360, November 20th 2009. The game, which will carry a recommended price tag of $29.99/£29.99, is developed by Griptonite Games and will also utilise the DSi Camera.
