New to 360 Arcade this week

This week sees the release of two new games to the Live Arcade servive on the 360, both priced at 800 points:

Inferno Pool
Rainbow Island: Towering Adventure

The deal of the week is 50% off Fable 2 Pub Games making it 400 points.

Also of interest is the ability to get the map packs for Call of Duty: World at War for half price until November 1st 2009.

Matt Fraction writing “Iron Man 2″ video game

Matt Fraction, the Eisner Award winning comic writer, has been hired by Sega to write the script for upcoming multi-format video game “Iron Man 2″. The new game will be loosely based on the movie but will feature it’s own original story. The game is due out for DS, Wii, 360, PS3 and PC in June 2010.

“Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing” character news

Due for release on February 24th 2010 for the DS, PS3, 360, Wii and PC there isn’t much we could say to get people excited over what appears to be your standard family racing game but here it is… You’ll be able to play as Ryo Hazuki from the “Shenmue” games. Here’s a couple of screenshots:

Super Street Fighter IV announced

Konami today announced that they will be releasing Super Street Fighter IV for both the PS3 and 360 in the first quarter of 2010. Konami’s Yoshinori Ono told Gamestop that because of the way 8 new fighters will be introduced and how the original game was coded, it is impossible to release the updated game as DLC but if you already own Street Fighter IV, you will be in-store for a special surprise. He also stated the game will have a low retail price and revealed the first two new playable characters as Juri and T-Hawk. More news to come…

New to 360 Arcade this week

The 30th September 2009 sees quite a lot of activity on the XBLA. First up, we have three new games which will each be available for 800 points. They are:

Modern Warfare 2 250GB 360 on the way

Microsoft have announced that they will be releasing a limited edition Modern Warfare 360 console with a 250GB hard drive, unique design, two controllers, a headset and a copy of the game. No news on the price yet for Europe but it hits stores in the States on November 10th 2009 with a recommended retail price of $399.99. It will only be available from Game and Gamestation.

Note that the 250GB console will also be available in the regular 360 design soon.

Forza Motorsport 3 details

October 27th 2009 sees the release of the long awaited 360 game, Forza Motorsport 3, with a recommended retail price of $59.99 (October 23rd 2009/£49.99 in the UK). The game will include over over 400 fully customisable cars from 50 manufacturers and over 100 tracks from around the world. X-Box Live options will include the obvious multi-player races but also the option of visiting the auction house and deep tuning garage. The gameplay also has the option of auto-tuning so that your car is tuned to suit your style of play/driving.
