“Footloose” remake director Kenny Ortega has quit the project over creative differences with Paramount production chief Adam Goodman. Goodman wanted the film to stick to a $25million budget and be an edgy drama just like the original whilst Ortega wanted a bigger budget and complex musical numbers. The film will still star Chace Crawford and Julianne Hough.
I don’t know about anyone else but I generally hate it when the studio tries to interfere too much, but, in this case, I hope the remake does stay closer to the original.
