Eminem’s publisher takes iTunes to court

Eminem’s publisher, Eight Mile Style, have started their court case against Apple iTunes and Aftermath Records with allegations that the iTunes site is selling his music without authorisation because Eminem’s contract does not give download rights to Aftermath Records.  Apple’s lawyer, Glenn Pomerantz told the courts that iTunes pay Aftermath records $0.70 for every track sold with $0.09 going to Eight Mile Style.  Pomerantz also stated that Eight Mile Style have had no problem cashing in cheques from iTunes and haven’t asked Apple to stop selling his music.  The case is expected to finish next week.
