It was made clear today by various magazines and newspapers that industry insiders have leaked information regarding a sequel to Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes which isn’t even released until the tail-end of December. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Guy Ritchie will direct with Robert Downey Jr reprising his role as Sherlock Holmes. The real news though, is that Brad Pitt is rumoured to be taking on the role of Moriarty. The first draft of the screenplay is being written by husband and wife team Kieren and Michele Mulroney who have previously written screenplays for Paper Man and the unworked/in-development hell Justice League movie.
